Dimensional Leap is a two-day intensive workshop exploring how AI image and 3D generation can be strategically integrated into architectural concept design. Led by Ismail Seleit at Foster + Partners, the workshop is grounded in real-world applications of computational design, BIM, and AI-driven visualisation within large-scale practice.
Participants move from advanced AI image generation into multimodal workflows involving video, language models, and image-to-3D pipelines. Rather than treating AI outputs as final results, the workshop focuses on control, translation, and architectural application - understanding how imagery becomes geometry, and how that geometry can be refined, edited, and deployed within tools such as Rhino.
As AI-generated imagery becomes increasingly prevalent in early-stage design, the ability to translate these outputs into usable, editable 3D geometry is becoming a critical skill. This workshop addresses that gap by providing a structured workflow for moving from pixels to polygons while maintaining authorship and design intent.
Emphasis is placed on decision-making and control, positioning AI as a powerful extension of design thinking rather than a replacement for it.
You will learn how to:
• Generate advanced AI imagery through multimodal workflows
• Translate AI outputs into editable 3D geometry for design development
• Refine and integrate AI-generated models into architectural workflows

Head of Applied AI
Ismail Seleit is the Head of Applied AI at Gendo, operating at the sharp intersection of machine learning and architectural practice. After a 13-year career as an architect driving design technology at Foster + Partners, Ismail brings ruthless pragmatism to the generative AI space. He refuses to treat artificial intelligence as a gimmick. Instead, he builds high-level computational workflows that eliminate systemic friction across urban and product scales. By stripping away the tedious mechanics of the process, his objective is absolute: helping designers focus on what really matters, design.
Beyond his architectural mandate, Ismail is an ambient-electronic music producer and film composer. This synthesis of strict analytical logic and creative exploration defines his character, rigorously dismantling conventional design problems to build smarter, future-proof methodologies.
