Discover how AI can become an active design tool, helping you explore concepts, test ideas, and uncover unexpected opportunities throughout the Architectural design process.

Ai Tool Taught
Gendo
This interactive workshop explores a different approach to AI in architecture. Rather than treating AI as a one-shot image generator, participants will learn how to use it as an explorative design partner - one that can challenge assumptions, provoke new ideas, and help unlock unexpected design directions.
Led by Gendo Co-founder and CTO Will Jones alongside Ismail Seleit, Head of Applied AI at Gendo, the workshop demonstrates how architects can collaborate with AI throughout the design process, using conversation, iteration, and experimentation to push concepts further. Participants will learn how to "spar" with AI, testing ideas in real time and discovering new possibilities that may not emerge through traditional workflows alone. The workshop concludes with a live design challenge, giving participants the opportunity to apply what they've learned in a fast-paced creative exercise, with prizes awarded for the most compelling outcomes.

Co-Founder and CTO
Will Jones is the CTO and Co-founder of Gendo, with over a decade of experience building technical products, many rooted in machine learning.
Before founding Gendo, he spent many years exploring generative algorithms as a medium for creating art - both digital and physical. That curiosity around creativity and computation now informs his work, shaping Gendo’s approach to AI as a collaborator in the design process rather than just a tool for output.
Like Ismail, Will also produces music and scores for short films - and yes, they are planning to start a Gendo band.

Head of Applied AI
Ismail Seleit is the Head of Applied AI at Gendo, operating at the sharp intersection of machine learning and architectural practice. After a 13-year career as an architect driving design technology at Foster + Partners, Ismail brings ruthless pragmatism to the generative AI space. He refuses to treat artificial intelligence as a gimmick. Instead, he builds high-level computational workflows that eliminate systemic friction across urban and product scales. By stripping away the tedious mechanics of the process, his objective is absolute: helping designers focus on what really matters, design.
Beyond his architectural mandate, Ismail is an ambient-electronic music producer and film composer. This synthesis of strict analytical logic and creative exploration defines his character, rigorously dismantling conventional design problems to build smarter, future-proof methodologies.
