As immersive technologies continue to evolve, architects are increasingly looking beyond visualisation toward shared, interactive environments that support design communication, collaboration, and public engagement. This workshop explores how architectural content can move seamlessly from traditional modelling tools into real-time experiences powered by Unreal Engine.
Developed alongside, Zaha Hadid Architects and Spaceform, and delivered in partnership with Epic Games, the session demonstrates practical workflows for publishing architectural models from Rhino, Blender, and Maya into high-fidelity, multiplayer environments. Participants will learn how design intent can be preserved while optimising geometry, managing performance, and creating configurable spatial experiences that support collaboration and exploration.
The workshop introduces modular design systems, saved-state workflows, and real-time publishing pipelines, positioning Unreal Engine as a powerful platform for architectural delivery rather than simply a visualisation tool. Participants will also explore emerging technologies such as Gaussian splatting, enabling highly realistic environments that combine visual fidelity with interactive performance.
